Who we are

Skilled Futures is an independent training and education provider that delivers employability training, skills programmes, accredited qualifications, and career development opportunities for young people and adults. Our programmes are designed to help individuals develop the skills, knowledge, confidence, and experience needed to progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further education.

We work with learners, employers, schools, local authorities, and partner organisations to deliver training programmes including skills bootcamps, employability programmes, short courses, and regulated qualifications. We are committed to supporting individuals to develop the skills needed for the workplace and to progress into sustainable employment and further learning.

As part of delivering our services, Skilled Futures collects and processes personal data relating to learners, staff, employers, and partners. We are committed to protecting personal data and ensuring that information is handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you contact us about  our apprenticeships and training services, apply for an apprenticeship vacancy or if you register to  receive one of our newsletters.

What we Collect

We may collect the following information:

- Name and job title
- Contact information including email address
- Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
- Information to help develop our website such as IP address, and information regarding which pages are accessed and when
- Other information relevant to eligibility for government funded qualifications
- If you’re applying for an advertised apprenticeship vacancy then we may ask for a CV

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in  particular for the following reasons:

- To give you the best chance of successfully applying foran advertised apprenticeship
- Internal record keeping
- To improve our products and services
- To carry out our obligations arising from any contractsentered into by you and us
- To process any workshop or training day bookingsthat you have submitted

- To notify you of changes to our services
- To process job applications

We may also send youcommunications which you have requested and that may be of interest toyou.  These may include information aboutevents, activities, new apprenticeships and training and  promotion of our company’s training services.

Third Party Service Providers: For anyone aged 13 and over, we may pass your information to our third  party service providers and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and  providing agreed services to you on our behalf, (for example when you apply for an apprenticeship  position advertised by us on behalf of an employer or when a training day is delivered in collaboration  with another service provider). However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only  the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that  requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing  purposes. Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties beyond the  Swarm network for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested  us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of  prevention of fraud or other crime.

We will not contact you personally for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless  you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have  indicated that you do not wish to be contacted.
